Kigezi Teens Awards: The Best And Only Annual Awards Of Their Kind In Western Uganda Meant to Celebrate Youth Excellence And Empowerment”

The annual Kigezi Teens Awards, which are organized and put on by the Kigezi Teens Organization, are expected to enthrall the Kigezi community once more. The third staging of the awards ceremony, which will highlight the amazing abilities and achievements of young people in the area, is quickly approaching.

“The debut of the eagerly awaited Kigezi Teens Magazine is one of the event’s highlights. The magazine’s intriguing topic for this year’s school edition is “Celebrate the Power of Youth Voices, for inside their stories lies the strength to inspire, the courage to heal, and the tenacity to ignite change.

The journal will examine the difficulties teenagers at various schools encounter, their passions, and offer advice on how to get ready for life after school. The chief editor, MS Leona Naturinda, says:

“The Kigezi Teens Awards are a unique platform in Western Uganda because they are the only yearly awards of their kind in the area that unite and bring together all young people from the many districts of the Kigezi region.

The event will gather together great people from numerous categories on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at the famous White Horse Inn Kabale to recognize their amazing achievements.

In addition to honoring brilliance, it also raises the voices of young people in Western Uganda. Mr. and Miss Teens, Mr. and Miss Culture, Mr. and Miss Conservation, and Mr. and Miss Fashion are also crowned at the event.

These books support young people’s advocacy while also empowering them to take part in civic engagement and constructive community projects.

The awards will give the youth who are competing the chance to recognize the peers, celebrities, public figures, role models, and institutions of higher learning that have had a good impact on their lives.

All are welcome to submit nominations, after which there will be voting via our official media outlets. Based on the votes cast, the winners in each category will be chosen. Eddy claims

Even though the Kigezi Teens Organization has come a long way, there are always obstacles to conquer. Their capacity to achieve even greater heights is hampered by little funding, little publicity, and a lack of required tools like cameras, etc.

They intend to set up a resource center because they understand how important it is to give people the chance to enhance their skills and lower the high percentage of youth unemployment.

In order to alter the lives of young people in communities, they thus make an appeal to the government, non-governmental organizations, owners, businesses, stakeholders, and individuals.

The prize categories are varied and cover a range of industries, such as the arts, modeling, photography, tourism, education, sports, media, entertainment, and more. One of the categories is “Artist of the Year,” and others are “Best Photographer,” “Top Teen Models,” “Tourism Personality of the Year,” “Best School of the Year,” “Sports Personality of the Year,” “Best Radio Station of the Year,” “Event Organizer of the Year,” “Best Media Presenter,” “Best Gospel Artist,” “Best Upcoming Talents,” “Influencer of the Year,” “TikToker of the Year,” “Chef of the Year
