Police Identifies Link Bus Accident Victims As Deaths Rises To 21
As the death toll from the Link Bus tragedy grows to 21, police identify the victims.
Some of the passengers murdered in yesterday’s Link bus tragedy have been identified by Fort Portal police.
On Wednesday, an accident occurred along the Fort Portal-Kyenjojo road near Sebitoli market centre in Busoro sub-county, Kabarole district.
The bus, with the registration number UBA 003S, skidded off the road and flipped numerous times on its way to Kampala from Bundibugyo area.
Twenty persons perished on the spot, while another victim, John Asiimwe, died of his injuries at the Fort Portal regional referral hospital this morning, bringing the total number of people killed in the tragedy to twenty-one.

The Ministry of Works and Transport has already suspended Link Bus Services’ operations while investigations into the accident continue.
