Breaking News :Uganda confirms 9 Cases Of Omicron Covid-19 Variant
According to a source within the Ministry of Health, Uganda has confirmed nine (9) cases of the Omicron Covid-19 strain.
In late November, scientists in South Africa and Botswana discovered the Omicron Covid-19 variety.
The variety has been a major source of concern for health specialists since its discovery, as it is feared that it will not respond to current Covid-19 vaccinations.
According to reports, the Omicron is more transmissible.
As a result of the new Omicron virus, numerous countries have implemented new COVID-19 restrictions and travel bans aimed at Southern African travelers.
Botswana, Lesotho, Eswatini, Namibia, Zimbabwe, and Malawi are among the seven Southern African countries where the variation has been confirmed.
A number of European countries have also confirmed it.
