Assailants Attack Indian National in Kampala, Rob Him in Broad day light

Keshav was robbed of a laptop valued at UGX 2.2 million, cash amounting to UGX 150,000, an Ecobank debit card, and keys.

Police are investigating a robbery incident involving Mr. Joshi Keshav, a 32-year-old Indian national and tour and travel company operator based at Crown House, Kampala Road. Keshav was robbed of a laptop valued at UGX 2.2 million, cash amounting to UGX 150,000, an Ecobank debit card, and keys. Mr. Keshav sustained minor injuries after being cornered and beaten by a group of individuals riding on motorcycles at ESO Corner while traffic was at a standstill.

The assailants were captured by CCTV cameras, and a video was shared on social media on July 15, 2024, at midday. The victim reported the incident to the Nkurumah Road Police Station. Police have dispatched a team of investigators to trace Mr. Keshav’s movements from the start of his journey to the location of the incident. Numerous clues have been gathered to aid in the ongoing efforts to apprehend the suspects involved in this crime, Deputy PRO for KMP Assistant Superintendent of Police Luke Owoyesigyire confirmed.
