45-Year-Old Man Arrested for Defiling 4-Year-Old Girl in Kiira Region

In a disturbing incident in Kiira region, Emmanuel Okori, a 45-year-old man employed as a guard with the Madhivani Group, has been arrested on charges of defiling a 4-year-old girl. The incident took place in Nairo cell, Kakira town council, Jinja district, where Okori resides.

Reports indicate that Okori allegedly lured the young girl into his room after buying her a chapati on Tuesday. The arrest came about thanks to the quick thinking of 70-year-old Neko Auma, a local resident, who heard the victim’s cries for help and alerted authorities.

According to the victim’s mother, who preferred to remain anonymous, she had entrusted her children’s care to her 8-year-old son while she went to Kakira market. It was during this time that the unfortunate incident occurred.

The victim is currently receiving medical attention and undergoing tests at Kakira Health Center IV. Kiira Regional police spokesperson James Mubi highlighted that Okori tried to bribe Auma with Shs 5,000 in an attempt to prevent her from raising the alarm about the defilement.
