Tragedy  Strikes As Six  Lives  Lost  In Vehicle  Crash During Kyabazinga’s Wedding Escort

Jinja City, Uganda – A joyous occasion turned into a scene of devastation as at least six people lost their lives in a road crash during the wedding escort of Kyabazinga William Gabula Nadiope IV. The incident took place at Nawantumbi village in the Nawanyago sub-county along the Kamuli-Jinja road.

The convoy, escorting the Kyabazinga to Bugembe Cathedral for his wedding, had just left his private palace in Budumbula when tragedy struck. According to Busoga North Police spokesperson Mr Michael Kasadha, the crash occurred around 10.30 am, mere moments after the convoy set off.

Eyewitnesses described a horrific scene as the speeding vehicle collided with innocent bystanders, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. The impact of the crash was so severe that the lives of those involved were tragically cut short.

Emergency services were immediately deployed to the scene, where they worked tirelessly to provide aid to those injured and to extricate victims from the wreckage. Several ambulances rushed the injured to nearby hospitals for urgent medical attention. Among the victims were innocent pedestrians who were caught in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The news of the incident sent shockwaves throughout the region, with locals expressing their grief and condolences to the families affected. The wedding festivities that were meant to be a celebration of love and unity have now been overshadowed by this heartbreaking accident.
