Uganda Police Hand Over Postmortem Reports, Bodies Of Deceased Tourists To UK Team
By Ivan Kaahwa
The Uganda Police Forensic Directorate has handed over detailed forensic postmortem reports and the bodies of the two foreign tourists who tragically lost their lives in an attack by suspected ADF rebels in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Senior Commissioner of Police Fred Enanga, the Police Spokesperson, informed the media that all necessary legal procedures, lines of inquiry, and findings, including timelines of events verified through GPS data, phone evidence, and other recordings, have been provided to the UK team for further investigation.
Enanga commended the relentless efforts of the UPDF and CMI in pursuing the remnants of ADF groups responsible for atrocities in Kasese.
It should be recalled, that the lead suspect involved in the attacks on tourists, as well as the horrific assault on Nyabugando Mpondwe Lhubiriha Secondary School, where over 40 students lost their lives, was captured alive by the UPDF. Other suspects were incapacitated as they attempted to infiltrate the country via Lake Edward using a boat.
