Victoria University To Promote Talented Youths To Combat Unemployment In Uganda

Prof. Lawrence Muganga, vice chancellor of Victoria University, the university has pledged to foster young talent in the fields of business and music as a way to combat youth unemployment in Uganda.

This newspaper has learned that at least 710 graduates have been confirmed for Victoria University’s 7th graduation ceremony, which is scheduled for September 14 at Kololo Ceremonial Ground.

The theme for this year’s graduation is “Future-Proofing Learning for You.” The projected Music Battle will take place on September 14, 2023, at the same location at Kololo Airstrip.

The Inspirational and Business MasterClass will take place at Kololo Airstrip on the same day, immediately following the Graduation, according to Muganga.

With 2,000 expected participants and 43% of the available spaces already reserved, the Vusi Thembekywayo MasterClass, with its topic of “Adapt or Perish: Innovate for Survival,” is likely to be a success.

According to Muganga, “We envision this MasterClass as a chance for participants to gain priceless insights from an inspirational leader like Vusi Thembekywayo and equip themselves with the skills to adapt and innovate in a constantly changing world.”

We can build a dynamic ecosystem that enables people to grow and contribute to the improvement of our society through collaborations like the suggested Musical Battle, Graduation Ceremony, and MasterClass, ” he continued.

Muganga urged young people to get involved in music, saying it has great capacity to uplift and unify people.” Ambassador Queen Sheebah Karungi and ‘The King Herself’ Cindy Sanyu have shown that they are capable of influencing their audiences in a substantial way. It is admirable that they can shape the opinions of the younger generation and the general public, Muganga stated.
