Maliba Town Council Officers Hand Over Offices After Being Transferred

Two outgoing officials of Maliba town council, including the Town clerk, Godwin Monday Bihanikire, and the treasurer, Moreen Asiimwe, handed over their offices yesterday following routine transfers.
The handover ceremony was held at Maliba town council headquarters in
Busongora, north Kasese district, was graced by sub-town councilors and different dignitaries from the local communities.
The deputy chief administration officer (CAO), Kasese district, Eriabu Begumya, who presided over the peaceful handover function, asked the in-coming town clerk and the in-coming Treasury to complete the tasks their predecessors had begun, and also to cooperate with politicians to foster economic development.
The outgoing town clerk, Monday Bihanikire Godwin, handed over his report to his successor Alice Bwambale from Mpondwe Lhubiriha town council, asked Alice to widen the sources of revenue through gearing development strategies.
The outgoing Treasury Secretary, Moree Asiimwe, handed over to Harriet Biira fromIbanda Town Council advised her to collaborate with leaders and forge possible ways of paying some outstanding debts since the town council mainly relies on government transfers.
The chairperson of LC3 Maliba town council, Abdu Saad, asked the CAO`s office to
revise the system of frequent transfers of civil servants because it hinders
development, on the other hand.
Abdu further voiced that the CAO`s office should aid in mobilizing funds to
rehabilitate roads and other ventures.
