The Office of the National Chairman on Saturday staged a massive mobilisation drive in Kiboga where Special Presidential Advisor Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye and the NRM’s flag bearer for the Woman MP seat, Ms Desire Muhooza, urged residents to rally solidly behind President Yoweri Museveni and all NRM candidates in the 2026 general elections.

The event at Kiboga Saza Grounds drew an immense crowd of supporters who cheered as Namyalo, often referred to as the Chief Muzzukulu, and Muhooza addressed them. The gathering was not only political but also social, with thousands of people receiving wealth creation items ranging from hair dryers and spraying pumps to bricklaying equipment, all aimed at improving household incomes and curbing poverty in the district.

In her address, Hajjat Namyalo cautioned voters against splitting their support, insisting that effective service delivery can only be realised through those carrying the NRM flag. “We thank you for standing with Hon. Muhooza and with President Museveni. Now that she is the official flag bearer, we must all unite behind her and ensure that Kiboga votes overwhelmingly for NRM. The President recognises only NRM flag bearers, and that is why we need to rally behind them,” she said to loud applause.

She reminded the crowd that grassroots loyalty is central to the party’s future success. “There is no way President Museveni can secure victory in 2026 without you. Your unity and strength at the local level are what will carry us through,” she added.

Ms Muhooza, who has emerged as a strong contender to reclaim the Woman MP seat for the ruling party, echoed the message of unity. She said that Kiboga lost ground in past elections because of divisions, and urged residents not to repeat the same mistake. “We must not allow independents to weaken us. Our votes must remain in one basket. The President is targeting eighty percent of the vote, but here in Kiboga, we should aim for ninety percent,” she declared, her words sparking chants from jubilant supporters.

Other party leaders, including Resident District Commissioner Ssempala Kigozi, Hon. Mbabazi Harriet, Hon. Easter Ndyanabo and veteran cadre Kizoto Nkubwa, praised the mobilisation effort and commended Namyalo and Muhooza for combining empowerment with political organisation. They called on residents to deliver an overwhelming victory for the party in 2026.

The outreach concluded with the distribution of income-generating tools to organised groups across the district, a gesture that underscored the day’s dual focus on empowerment and political mobilisation. For many residents, the tools offered both immediate relief and long-term promise, tying the message of unity to tangible benefits for ordinary households.
