KAMPALA, Uganda — Security authorities have transferred a key suspect, identified as Anguyo, to Kiboga District as preparations intensify for his trial over a recent shooting incident.

Anguyo was arrested on Saturday in Aru Town in the Democratic Republic of Congo following a coordinated operation by security operatives.

His arrest marked a significant breakthrough after days of pursuit across borders.

Officials confirmed that the suspect has since been moved under tight security to Kiboga District, where he is expected to face formal charges linked to the shooting.

Authorities have not yet disclosed full details surrounding the circumstances of the incident, but investigations are ongoing to establish the motive and any possible accomplices.
