A football tournament organized by the Mbarara District Police Commander (DPC) concluded in colorful celebrations, with participating teams receiving bulls as prizes in recognition of their performance.

The tournament, which brought together police officers and members of the community, was aimed at strengthening cooperation between law enforcement and residents while promoting teamwork and healthy competition.

NRM chairman Prosper, who presided over the closing ceremony, commended police officers for their dedication to maintaining peace and order.

He emphasized that security personnel must serve the public with honesty and integrity.

Prosper noted that community trust in the police is built through professionalism and respect for citizens.

He said initiatives such as sports tournaments provide an opportunity for officers to interact with communities in a positive environment.

To reward the teams that performed well in the tournament, Prosper donated bulls, which were handed over during the closing ceremony.

The gesture was welcomed by both participants and spectators who described the tournament as a unifying event.

Local leaders said the competition not only promoted sports but also strengthened collaboration between the police and the communities they protect.
