Regional Tensions Disrupt Air Travel
The closure followed heightened tensions in the Middle East after a reported joint U.S.–Israeli strike on Iran, which has led to significant disruptions in air travel across parts of the region.
Several airlines have either rerouted flights or temporarily halted operations to destinations affected by the unfolding security situation.
Dubai International is widely regarded as the world’s busiest airport for international passenger traffic, making the suspension a major disruption for global aviation networks, including Uganda Airlines’ growing international operations.
