TEHRAN, IRAN | Xinhua | Iran on Saturday held a insist funeral for the military commanders and nuclear scientists killed right thru a 12-day battle with Israel.

The ceremony used to be attended by the families of these killed in the assaults as neatly as high-ranking Iranian officials and military commanders, collectively with President Masoud Pezeshkian, Judiciary Chief Gholamhossein Mohseni-Ejei, Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, International Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and senior consultant to Iran’s supreme chief, Ali Shamkhani, who used to be severely injured in the Israeli airstrikes on Tehran.

On June 13, Israel launched predominant airstrikes on moderately loads of areas in Iran, collectively with nuclear and military websites, killing several senior commanders, nuclear scientists and civilians. Iran replied by launching several waves of missile and drone assaults on Israel.

Following the 12-day battle, a ceasefire between Iran and Israel used to be accomplished on Tuesday.

The mourners waved Iran’s flags whereas chanting slogans in opposition to Israel and the United States. They carried shots of the “martyred” commanders and nuclear scientists, collectively with Chief Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Hossein Salami, Chief of Crew of the Iranian Armed Forces Mohammad Bagheri, Chief Commander of the IRGC’s Aerospace Division Amir Ali Hajizadeh and chief commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters and his successor, Gholam Ali Rashid and Ali Shadmani respectively.

Iran’s Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni acknowledged at the ceremony that the United States and Israel proved that they failed to honor any of their commitments.

He emphasized that the Iranian military had been extremely vigilant to present a decisive response to any “malicious stagger” or breach of guarantees by the “enemy.”

The burial ceremonies are scheduled to be held on Sunday. ■
