Victoria University Welcomes New Student Leaders with Pastor Bugembe’s Blessings

Victoria University celebrated a historic moment on February 28, 2025, as Khaukha Emmanuel, a third-year Pharmacy student, was sworn in as the new Guild President for the 2025/2026 term.

The ceremony, held in the university’s auditorium, marked the official transition from the 7th Guild Government, whose impactful leadership was commended for advancing student welfare and fostering unity.
Prof. Augustine Osamor Ifelebuegu, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, presided over the event, highlighting the importance of student governance in driving innovation and service. “Leadership is not just about authority but about inspiring change and progress,” he remarked.

The occasion was further uplifted by City Pastor Wilson Bugembe of Nansana Worship House, who delivered a powerful message of faith and perseverance. “Leadership is a divine calling, and with God’s guidance, you can overcome any challenge,” he told the new cabinet, leaving the audience inspired.

As the 8th Guild Government takes the helm, the Victoria University community looks forward to a future of continued growth, collaboration, and student-focused initiatives. The event concluded with a sense of optimism, as students and faculty alike celebrated the dawn of a new era in leadership.
