In a stunning display of skill and teamwork, the Welsh Feathers triumphed over Uganda’s She Cranes with a convincing 57-45 victory at the House Of Sport on Wednesday, January 10th, 2024. The electrifying match marked the first in a three-game International Netball Test Series, highlighting Wales’ dominant performance on the court.

The two teams are closely ranked in the world Netball rankings, with only two places separating the Welsh Feathers at 9th and the She Cranes at 7th. The first test match showcased the Welsh team’s prowess, setting the stage for an exciting series.

The second test match is scheduled for Friday, January 12th, 2024, at 7 PM, where fans eagerly anticipate whether Uganda’s She Cranes can stage a comeback. The tension will reach its peak with the third and final test match taking place the following day on Saturday, January 13th, 2024, at 4 PM.

This Netball Test Series is a rematch from October 2022 when the Welsh Feathers faced Uganda in another test series at the House Of Sport. In those encounters, Uganda emerged victorious with scores of 57-47 and 64-46, taking the series. The recent turnaround in favor of Wales has added an extra layer of excitement to the upcoming matches.

In other Netball news, Uganda’s She Cranes are gearing up for the Vitality Netball Nations Cup, where they will compete against top nations Australia, England, and New Zealand. The tournament is set to unfold on two weekends, January 20-21 at Ovo Arena, Wembley, and January 27-28 at First Direct Arena in Leeds.

The She Cranes’ squad for the Vitality Series includes key players such as Irene Eyaru (Captain), Margaret Baagala (Assistant Captain), and other talented athletes in various positions. The schedule for the Nations Cup promises intense battles, with the highlight being the final on Sunday, January 28, at 7 PM.
