Congratulations: Speaker Among Gives Birth To Twins
Anita Among, the Speaker of the Ugandan Parliament, gave birth to twins, according to Thomas Tayebwa, her deputy.
Tayebwa thanked her boss on the successful delivery in a tweet on Monday.
“With tremendous joy, I congratulate my sister, the Rt. Hon. Speaker Anita Among, and my brother, Moses Magogo, on their twin bundles of joy. Right now, you are Ssalongo and Nnalongo. Once more, congratulations,” Tayebwa wrote in a brief tweet.
In a private ceremony held in Kampala in August 2022, the speaker wed Moses Magogo Hassim, the president of the FUFA and the MP for Budiope East in the Buyende district.
Earlier, in the Bukedea District, Among gave a formal introduction to her fiancé.
The Budiope East MP reportedly paid 50 cows and 30 goats as part of the customary union, which took place in a private ceremony in Bukedea.
