A police officer in Ohio has shot dead a black teenage girl while responding to an attempted stabbing call.
The shooting occurred in the state capital Columbus at about 16:45 nearby time (20:45 GMT) on Tuesday, the Columbus Dispatch paper detailed.
Columbus police later created bodycam film of the occurrence, showing a few group assaulting an individual before the young lady was shot a few times.
A request is in progress, with authorities asking nearby occupants to try to avoid panicking.
“This evening a young lady appallingly lost her life. We don’t have the foggiest idea about the entirety of the subtleties,” Columbus Mayor Andrew Ginther tweeted.
“We will share data that we can when it opens up,” he added.
A furious group later assembled at the scene, US media detailed.
The shooting in Columbus happened without further ado before a jury saw a previous cop as liable of homicide over the demise of African-American George Floyd on a Minneapolis road a year ago.
Derek Chauvin, 45, was recorded stooping on Mr Floyd’s neck for over nine minutes during his capture last May.
The generally watched film started overall fights against bigotry and inordinate utilization of power by police.
