Uganda’s Former CJ Bart Katerebe Unveiled As UMI Chancellor, Vows To Further Develop Research
The previous Chief Justice Bart Katerebe has pledged to enhance research at Uganda Management Institute (UMI), having been introduced as Chancellor on Friday.
Mr Katureebe turns into the primary male chancellor of Uganda Management Institute. He was selected in June this year and will administer the foundation for the following four years.
He assumes control over office from Ms Namirembe Bitamazire, the previous priest of Education who has served starting around 2013.
”I guarantee to work intimately with the board of the foundation and the public authority to advance this organization. I will gain from every one individuals that I will communicate with and I will share my experience of my administration from 1975. I will fabricate linkages for this foundation not exclusively to do investigate for scholastic purposes however grant on the existences of this country,” he said.
UMI is an administration claimed public community for preparing, exploration, and consultancy in the field of the board and organization in the country.
The establishment practice was directed by the Vice President of Uganda, Ms Jessica Alupo, who addressed President Museveni, the Chief Visitor of all scholastic organizations by law.
The Vice President gave Mr Katureebe the instruments of force, which incorporated the mace, a duplicate of the Constitution of Uganda, University and other tertiary foundations Acts as revised 2003-2006, a duplicate of instruments naming him as a Chancellor, the cap and outfit.
“The mace you are getting today represents your position upon the organization and what Uganda Management Institute rely on,” she said.
Committee individuals from the establishment, senior teachers and individuals from the organization understudy’s society chamber went to the capacity.
Equity Katureebe resigned as Uganda’s Chief Justice in June 2020 following five years of administration, having timed 70 years old.
