Quoting Titus 1:5, Pastor Kajoba reminded the members of their duty to support and build the church, saying, “God has chosen you to correct what went wrong and to make the church grow.”

Additionally, the man of God emphasized the importance of contributing to the church’s mission by being actively involved, urging members to use their talents and resources to benefit the church and its future. He also encouraged improvements in infrastructure to create a welcoming environment for worship and community activities.

Addressing the newly elected church leaders, Pastor Kajoba called them to lead by example, particularly to the younger generation. “This generation is full of youthful energy and enthusiasm,” he noted. “Lead with the vigor of those striving for heaven. God saved you to save others, and He gave you blessings to be a blessing to others.”

Pastor Kajoba went on to explain the role of church leaders, referencing Titus 1:6, which outlines the qualities of leaders: “Elect leaders who are examples in the society. They should be sober, welcoming, standing for the truth, teaching the truth, and walking by it.”

Reflecting on the Seventh-day Adventist Church’s foundational beliefs, he emphasized the significance of the 28 Fundamental Beliefs, “These beliefs are the bedrock of our faith,” Pastor Kajoba said, explaining that they cover various aspects of doctrine, lifestyle, and mission, including the nature of God, the Sabbath, the plan of salvation, Christian behavior, and the church’s mission. “If you do not believe in these, then you must seek deeper understanding, for they are the principles that guide us,” he added.

Pastor Kajoba also reminded the congregation about the importance of observing all Ten Commandments. “We do not remove or alter any of God’s laws,” Pastor Kajoba stated firmly.

He also noted how some faiths have altered the commandments, particularly regarding idol worship, and have changed the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday. “The Sabbath is on Saturday and will never change,” he said.

Pastor Kajoba encouraged the congregation to work hard and prosper, stating that success is part of their Christian witness. “God’s people must be diligent and reflect His blessing in all they do,” he advised.

As he made a call to the congregation to dedicate their lives to Christ, two people joyfully stepped forward, agreeing to be baptized and commit their lives to God which brought a wave of celebration and joy throughout the gathering.

The man of God also stated that Central Uganda Conference is actively organizing 50 more churches, highlighting the growth and vitality of the SDA faith in Uganda.
