Just In: Five Dead After Plane Crashes Near Highway, Few Kilometers To Its Destination
Washington, March 5, 2024 – Tragedy struck Monday evening as a small private plane crashed near a highway in Nashville, Tennessee, claiming the lives of all five individuals on board. The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department confirmed the fatalities in a somber announcement via social media platform X.
The mangled wreckage of the single-engine plane was revealed in a distressing image shared by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, portraying the severity of the incident.
According to reports from the Nashville Fire Department, responders encountered a scene engulfed in “heavy fire” upon their arrival. The precise cause of the crash is yet to be determined, but Nashville police spokesman Don Aaron indicated that the aircraft had reported engine and power failure around 7:40 pm local time.
Despite being cleared for an emergency landing at Nashville’s John C. Tune Airport, the plane tragically fell just a few kilometers from its intended destination.
