Ndiga Clan Leader Assassination; Police says Lujja Was Driven by Intrigue, Greed, and Jealousy; Offers 10 Million Cash Reward for Any Leads on His Arrest

The joint crime intelligence and CID task force, along with the Kampala territorial team, have in custody seven suspects linked to the gruesome shooting murder of Daniel Bbosa Lwomwa, the Ndiga Clan head, in Buganda as he was headed to his residence in Kikandwa Zone on February 25th, 2024. Among the suspects is Milly Naluwenda of Kisekwa court and the shooter, Lujja Noah, who survived a lynching attempt by a mob on the day of the shooting. Police confirm that he has regained consciousness at Mulago Hospital and will be instrumental in aiding the investigations. Police have handed over the case file to the Director of Public Prosecution pending legal guidance to ascertain who among the suspects has incriminating evidence for having participated in the murder plot. Other perpetrators still at large are being pursued and linked to the crime. Police shall reveal the full account of the preparation meetings, planning, acquisition of the killer weapon, hiring of the killers, and execution of the murder in due course. Enanga confirmed that the burial of Daniel Lwomwa was well-policed and pledges that the wanted suspects are known, and the pursuit responsible for those behind the heinous act remains active.A 10 million cash reward is being offered for any leads on Lujja Bosa Tabulwa, wanted by the CID for allegedly masterminding the plot to assassinate the Ndiga Clan leader in Lungujja. Lujja Bossa Tabulwa is believed to have orchestrated the execution, including sourcing the AK-47 gun used in the murder and identifying the location for the execution. Lugya, 38 years old, is a resident of Kabango Village, Kakoola Parish, Mutabagumu Subcounty, Mpigi District, and Police state that his action of killing Daniel was motivated by intrigue, greed, and jealousy. Enanga urged members of the public to use available channels in confidence, including contacting the CID at 0741111333, to provide information that could lead to Lujja’s apprehension. According to Enanga, Lujja escaped arrest and is reportedly hiding on one of the islands (not mentioned). Enanga warned those who might be tempted to harbor Lujja from lawful arrest that they will be charged with concealing his arrest with the intent of preventing his discovery and arrest.
