In a bid to cultivate language proficiency and enhance public speaking abilities, the National Resistance Movement (NRM) is currently hosting the 4th session of the second semester for Kiswahili Training and the Art of Public Speaking at the party’s head offices in Kampala.

The free special program unfolds every Wednesday and Saturday, providing a unique opportunity for party members and the public alike to engage in comprehensive language and oratory lessons. The sessions, which commence at 8 a.m. and conclude at 1 p.m., aim to accommodate the diverse schedules of participants.

Rt. Hon. Richard Todwong, the NRM Secretary General, spearheaded the re-launch of the second semester earlier this month. He articulated that the initiative is designed to impart Kiswahili language skills to party members nationwide, aligning with the broader objective of expediting the East African Integration agenda.

Secretary General Todwong extended an open invitation to members of the public, emphasizing the benefits of learning Kiswahili. He highlighted its potential to broaden opportunities within the region and encouraged individuals, regardless of party affiliation, to seize the chance to acquire this valuable skill.

Learners enrolled in the Kiswahili and Public Speaking Training program will be awarded certificates upon completion. This recognition serves not only as a testament to their commitment to learning but also as a tangible acknowledgment of their enhanced language and communication capabilities.

The NRM’s commitment to language training underscores its vision for a unified East Africa where communication transcends borders. By equipping party members and the public with Kiswahili skills, the initiative strives to contribute to a more connected and integrated East African community.

While initiated by a political party, the training program transcends political boundaries. It stands as a testament to the belief that language proficiency and effective communication are essential skills that can benefit individuals from all walks of life.

As the 4th session unfolds, participants eagerly engage in a unique learning experience that not only hones their language and public speaking skills but also contributes to the broader vision of a harmonious and interconnected East African region.
