UPDF Eliminates 2 Suspected ADF Rebels in Kamwenge

Police have confirmed the killing of two suspected terrorists and the injury of another during a firefight with the UPDF at Kiziba Zone, Kiziba Parish, Kamwenge District.This comes in the aftermath of a recent attack by } mercilessly killed and burned three individuals.

The assailants targeted Nyabitutsi village in Businge Parish, Kamwenge Sub-County on Christmas night, setting a house ablaze in which three people, including Adrine Ngwabiiji, 78, and her two grandchildren, lost their lives. The attackers also made off with ten goats and five cows.

This incident follows closely on the heels of another ADF attack that claimed the lives of ten people near the Kibaale forest. The victims, who were safeguarding their crops against monkey damage, fell prey to the rebel group.In response to the escalating threat, efforts are underway to bolster community safety in vulnerable districts through the recruitment of Local Defence Units.
