Armed Thugs Rob Priest Millions Of Money At Gunpoint

A disturbing incident took place at Buwali Catholic Parish in Buwali Sub-County, Bududa District, when armed criminals targeted the residence of Parish Priest Patrick Obbo in the early hours of November 24, 2023. The assailants, who struck around 2:00 AM, forcefully entered the priest’s home and proceeded to rob him of a significant yet unspecified sum, rumored to be in the millions of Shillings.

Eyewitnesses, choosing to remain anonymous, shared the terrifying details of the event. They described how the criminals, armed with guns, confronted Father Patrick Obbo, forcing him to reveal the location where the church funds were kept. Under duress, the priest directed them to the safe, which the thugs systematically emptied, leaving it devoid of any money.

Africano Aharikunbira, the Resident District Commissioner of Bududa, confirmed the incident and assured that security forces are actively investigating the matter. In response to the incident, he urged the public to remain vigilant, especially during the Christmas season, warning that numerous criminals are currently on the loose, actively seeking financial opportunities.
