William Nyombi Thembo Named New UCC Boss

Former State Minister For ICT William Nyombi Thembo has been appointed as the Executive Director for UCC replacing Irene Sewankambo who has been serving as the Acting ED for nearly 3 years.

In an appointment letter that the New Light Paper has seen reads his tenure starting 1st December, 2023. Dr. Chris Baryomunsi, the Minister of ICT in his powers entrusted to him by the constitution of the Republic of Uganda appointed the new UCC boss for 5 Years.

Thembo beat other four candidates that were shortlisted by the UCC board earlier this month. We shall bring you further details of this appointment.
