President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has emphasized the need to embrace unity among kingdoms in Uganda, citing the exemplary visit of the King of Busoga to the Omukama of Bunyoro, showcasing interconnectedness and unity.
The Vice President of Uganda, Maj. Jessica Alupo, representing the President, presented 20 cows to the King of Busoga, Gabula Nadiope, symbolizing the welcome of the newly wedded bride into the Busoga Kingdom. The vice president offered 2 physical cows to the couple, anticipating offspring and providing milk. The Speaker of Parliament encouraged the king to seek wisdom from elders, citing his own 15 years of marriage.
In his congratulatory message, the president acknowledged the significance of families in society and praised the newly wedded couple for their milestone. He commended King Gabula Nadiope for displaying hard work, honesty, and a commitment to education following his father’s passing.
